On reddit, stonedandcrazy posted, “Anyone else think that Catelynns Instagram video of Nova where she zooms in on her but in a bathing suit really inappropriate for social media? I just saw it tonight…”
Though this “mommy” judgment is typical in Internet chat rooms, the user makes a case for why this particular post freaked them out! They write, “It’s a compilation of videos of Nova playing in water but one part of it she zooms in on her butt while she’s buried behind a pillow and it just seems like a pedophile dream come true and wildly inappropriate.”
stonedandcrazy explains, “I would never post that on sm [social media] even though I think it would be ok for just memories, it made me feel weird seeing it on Instagram. Feel free to disagree, maybe I’m overreacting but it freaked me out.”

Metalhead35 responds that this behavior is normal for Catelynn, but also disapproves. They write, “She’s terrible about Nova’s privacy. She’s snapped her completely naked in the shower, shown her pooping on tv, she’s constantly half naked on the show.”
They point out, “I mean all of that is probably just whatever for most people, but aside from the obvious issues with creeps and weirdos, she’s going to grow up and her boss or kids at school or her potential tinder date can google her and find weird naked pictures or clips of her picking up a turd…which would kind of suck tbh.”
Online fans are not the only ones who think Nova deserves a more private childhood. Concern over their child growing up in the public eye was a major reason why Carly’s adoptive parents began to limit Tyler and Catelynn’s contact with their first daughter.
