'Teen Mom' Star Talks Giving Up Custody

Baby daddy drama is something the Teen Mom community is used to, but usually when it comes to custody battles it’s the parents fighting for more time with their kids, not less!

Kailyn Lowry knows a thing or two about custody struggles with her first baby daddy. According to The Ashley’s Reality Roundup Kailyn was having issues with her baby daddy Jo Rivera. Kailyn mentioned on her podcast Coffee Convos that she was afraid of having to deal with legal issues in regards to her ex after she took the kids on vacation.

The Ashley reported that Kailyn was worried that Jo will press charges against her since she took their son on vacation on a day Jo was supposed to spend time with him. MTV refused to film Kailyn and her sons as to avoid any legal issues.

The outlet also reported that Jo was refusing to film with MTV completely. According to a source, MTV wants to remain neutral between the couple as to avoid encouraging any illegal activity in regards to the pair’s custody agreement.

Kailyn didn’t keep her opinions to herself on the matter! She opened up on an episode of her podcast Coffee Convos about how she felt about Jo and the entire debacle.

Kailyn said that she followed legal protocol, a court ordered 30 day notice, for Jo to request to take her eldest son on vacation. She added a third week to the trip after submitting this request, but assumed that since she had custody that week it would not be an issue.

Anyways, this time it’s Kailyn’s most recent baby daddy Chris Lopez who may be giving up his parental rights instead of fighting for them.

A reddit user posted a recap of the latest episode of Chris’s podcast where he revealed a ton of information about his relationship with Kailyn.

According to the summary, Chris said that parenting is the best, although he has a lot left to learn. But as for custody with Kailyn? He might be “two seconds away from saying take it.” Apparently Chris then said that “no man should have to fight for his kid the way I fought for mine.”

Whoa! So he might be done with the fight and just give up formal custody all together.
